Dominican singer Johnny Ventura said Wednesday that he will record a song for his new album, "Recojan, el viejo esta en la calle," along with Puerto Rican salsa performer Cheo Feliciano.
Ventura said at a press conference where the third edition of the Brugal Merengue Festival of Puerto Rico , where he is to be honored, was announced that he admires Feliciano for his romantic music.
The 55-year veteran of the music business thanked festival organizers for recognizing his career, and particularly for doing so in Puerto Rico, which played a key role in popularizing merengue internationally.

San Juan, July 7 (IANS/EFE) Dominican singer Johnny Ventura said Wednesday that he will record a song for his new album, ‘Recojan, el viejo esta en la calle’, along with Puerto Rican salsa performer Cheo Feliciano.
